作者簡介
阿加莎·克里斯蒂被譽為舉世公認的偵探推理小說女王。她的著作英文版銷售量逾10億冊，而且還被譯成百餘種文字，銷售量亦逾10億冊。她一生創作了80部偵探小說和短篇故事集，19部劇本，以及6部以瑪麗·維斯特麥考特的筆名出版的小說。著作數量之豐僅次於莎士比亞。
阿加莎·克里斯蒂的第一部小說《斯泰爾斯莊園奇案》寫於第一次世界大戰末，戰時她擔任志願救護隊員。在這部小說中她塑造了一個可愛的小個子比利時偵探赫爾克里·波洛，成為繼福爾摩斯之後偵探小說中最受讀者歡迎的偵探形象。1926年，阿加莎·克里斯蒂寫出了自己的成名作《羅傑疑案》（又譯作《羅傑·艾克羅伊德謀殺案》）。1952年，她最著名的劇本《捕鼠器》被搬上舞台，此後連續上演，時間之長久，創下了世界戲劇史上空前的紀錄。
1971年，阿加莎·克里斯蒂獲得英國女王冊封的女爵士封號。1975年，英格麗·褒曼憑藉根據阿加莎·克里斯蒂同名小說《東方快車謀殺案》改編的影片獲得了第三座奧斯卡獎盃。阿加莎·克里斯蒂數以億計的仰慕者中不乏顯赫的人物，其中包括英國女王伊莉莎白二世和法國總統戴高樂。1976年，她以85歲高齡永別了熱愛她的人們。

聽上去並沒什麼，但卻一不小心的驗證了紫杉小築發生的一系列慘案，而且樣樣吻合。百萬富翁雷克斯·佛特斯庫先生被毒死在自己的辦公室，他的口袋裡奇怪的放有黑麥；之後他年輕的妻子也被發現死在客廳里，死者身邊有一塊塗了蜂蜜，吃到一半的麵包；接下去是可憐的女僕，死後鼻子上還邪門的夾著一根曬衣夾子。而這一切的一切，似乎又都與二十年前的黑畫眉金礦有關……

onleastlikelytobethemurdererturnedouttobeit.Lancewasfiredfromhisfather'sbusiness,andmovedtoAfrica.Whenhisfatherwasmurdered,hewasstillinAfrica.Thismadeitseemnearlyimpossibleforhimtohavecommittedthreemurderswhilebeingonacompletelydifferentcontinent.Percival,theothersonwasusedasadistractionfromLance,andwasportrayedasthemurdererforagoodpartofthebook.TheMacKenzie'swerealsousedasadistractionfromLancebeingthemurderer.Mr.FortescueleftMr.MacKenzieinAfricatodie,sohisfamilyprobablywantedrevenge.AllofthesecharacterswereusedtomakeLanceseemlessandlesslikelytobethemurderer.Thereweretoomanycharacters.Theauthorcreatedtoomanysuspects,soitgothardtofollow.ThereweremaidsandhousekeepersandcooksandalotofrelativesalllivingatYewtree.Thismadethemallsuspects,andtheykeptbeingbroughtup.Thismadeithardtokeepupwithwhatwasgoingoninthemurderbeingsolved.Also,thebookseemedtogoonandon,goingthroughallofthepossibilitiesofwhereeveryonewasduringthemurder.ThemurderswereplannedtofitaMotherGoosenurseryrhyme.MissMarplediscoveredthatthemurdersperfectlyfitthenurseryrhymeaboutblackbirds.ThepeoplewerekilledinthesameorderandMr.Fortescuewasevenkilledwithagrainofryeinhispocket.Gladyswaskilledwithaclothespinonhernose,tosymbolizeabirdsnippingoffhernose.Theallseemedtobeanoddplanthemurdererwasdoing,untilitwasdiscoveredthatGladyswaskilledbeforeMrs.Fortescue,whichmadeitnotfitwiththerhymeanymore.Thiswasaveryinterestingbookthatkeepsthereaderontheedgeoftheirseattheentirebook.Therearemanytwistsandturnsthatkeepyouguessingonwhowillbesuspectnext.Itisalmostimpossibletotellwhothetruemurdererisuntiltheveryend.Payingattentionwhilereadingthisbookisveryimportant,butthebookisagreatmysterybookthatwouldbegoodforalmosteveryone,aslongasyou'rewillingtokeepupwithallofthedifferentcharactersthatcomeinandoutofthebook.A.Stone
