The writer used quotations, special words (i.e. mid-life crisis) and precise grammar to state about (去掉about)happiness, and consequently I like these four paragraphs.
In the second paragraph, the sentence ---“speculations about happiness are age-old”---- ( 加主語it)is very special for using “age-old’’. The writer compared happiness to a creature. It is worth studying. And I find that different kinds of people even sages had diverse ideas about happiness source. But as the writer said in fifth paragraph, both men and women are equally likely to announce their happiness.
In my opinion, the writer tells us that happiness doesn’t connect to gender, age and intelligence, which is scientific. From the third paragraph, I know that the results were exploded by social scientists. We don’t feel depressed just because we think that we don’t have qualification for being granted happiness when We Are young. Men and women needn’t be proud of having happiness because of their gender. In our life, we can find a fool who is always happy as he or she doesn’t care about anything. So everyone is equal and has a right to gain happiness.? ?
