M·斯科特·派克
M. Scott Peck斯科特·派克1936年出生於紐約市，1958年在哈佛大學拿到了學士學位，1963年在美國凱斯西儲大學醫學院獲得了博士學位，1963年至1972年在軍中服役。1994年，他獲得了坦普爾國際和平獎；1996年派克還獲得了美國喬治頓大學頒發的知識、信仰和自由獎章。斯科特·派克因患癌症於2005年9月25日在美國康乃狄克州的家中逝世，享年69歲。
我們這個時代最傑出的心理醫生，他的傑出不僅在其智慧，更在於他的真誠和勇氣。兒童時，他就以“童言無忌”遠近聞名；少年時，他又勇敢地放棄了父母為他安排的輝煌前程，毅然選擇了自己的人生道路，最終當上了一名心理醫生。他曾在美軍日本沖繩基地擔任心理醫生，為美軍軍官做心理醫生。在近二十年的職業生涯中，他治癒了成千上萬個病人，他以從業經驗為基礎寫作的《少有人走的路》，出版後雖未作任何宣傳，但經人們口耳相傳，迅速暢銷起來，並被翻譯成二十三種以上的語言，它曾在美國最著名的《紐約時報》暢銷書排行榜上連續上榜近二十年，創造了出版史上的一大奇蹟。
