林南先生是在國際學術界享有盛名的社會學家,是美國杜克大學社會學系教授、美國社會學會前副會長、(台灣)中央研究院院士,他在20世紀80年代初為中國社會學的重建工作做出過重要貢獻。主要研究領域為社會資本、社會關係與社會結構等領域和不同地區社會結構的比較研究。

江蘇省京劇(黃梅戲)演員
林南 女,京劇(黃梅戲)演員:曾就讀於江蘇省戲劇學校京劇表演專業,後到南京師範大學學習新聞傳播;來加之前為江蘇省廣播電視總台電視節目主持人、編輯;曾任江蘇省京劇專業演員,擅長演出的京劇劇目包括“賣水”、“拾玉鐲”、“金玉奴”、“霸王姬”等;曾參與多部影視作品的演出,她主演的黃梅戲戲曲電視連續劇“玉堂春”飾蘇三獲得中國電視文藝最高獎“金膺獎”(1994),她本人獲得金膺獎最佳女主角提名。
林南國小
林南國小位於常州市武進區,是一所全日制完全國小。林南國小創建於2002年9月,是由橫林鎮的東方、南方、鎮西、青司唐四所完小合併而成的一所以新市民子女為主要生源的村級國小,占地面積15330平方米。學校現有20個教學班,900多名學生,48位老師,其中區級學科帶頭人、骨幹教師7人。2007年5月,林南國小成為獨立建制學校。
武進區林南國小位於橫林鎮林南村,占地面積15333平方米,建築面積7123平方米。是在2002年9月,由東方、南方、鎮西、青司塘四所村級完全國小合併而成的一所上規模的村級國小,2007年5月31日,學校成為獨立建制的法人單位。學校現有20個教學班,955名學生,45名教師。
學校創建後,作為一所上規模的村級國小,學校面臨著許多的薄弱環節,如教學設施缺乏,教師結構不合理,學生髮展不平衡……在橫林鎮是名副其實的薄弱學校。而學校施教區的鎮西工業園又是企業集中的地方,吸引了許多外來務工人員。因此,許多新市民子女就讀於我校,全校955名學生中,新市民子女就占了近80%。這些學生由於以前學校的教學設施、師資質量、以及親職教育的原因,行為習慣、學習習慣等方面很不理想,這嚴重影響了我校教育教學質量的進一步提高。
學校以“辦人民滿意的教育”為宗旨,堅持“全面發展,快樂成長”理念,秉承“爭優創優、求是求真”的校風,致力打造“本真課堂”,最佳化育人環境,讓學生學有所得,使家長稱心滿意。
自學校獨立建制以來,在學校領導和老師的努力之下,學校先後被評為區青年文明號、區綠色學校、區校務公開先進單位、區學校工會建設二等獎、市中國小教育裝備建設達標學校、市示範圖書館等榮譽。
