形態特徵
與具脊觿茅的主要區別特徵：植株高20-60厘米。稈纖細，具8-17節，自節處膝曲，節間1/2或1/3。葉片長2-6.5厘米，寬0.5-2毫米。總狀花序1-2枚，生於稈頂或分枝頂，長（1-）3厘米；小穗長2.5-3毫米，無毛；第二穎上部2/3或1/2具脊，多少呈狹翼狀；芒扭轉，長4.7-8毫米。
地區分布
產於中國台灣。模式標本采自台灣（Sirin,Taihoku-syu）。
