"Step by Step"由Annie Lennox創作並原唱，後來被惠特尼休斯頓翻唱，作為《牧師的妻子》原聲帶的第二支單曲發行。Lennox的版本原本作為她1992年的單曲"Precious"的B-side出現。惠特尼休斯頓的版本並不是純翻唱，有一段換了新歌詞，也從bridge部分刪去了部分歌詞，而且 原唱Annie Lennox更為這一版本貢獻了和聲。
