長期從事化合物半導體材料的研究，並已經在 Physical Review B, Journal of Applied Physics, Nuclear Instrument and Methods in Physics Research B 等國際著名學術刊物上發表論文 10 多篇。
培養畢業研究生 1 名，現已招收研究生 6 名。在凝聚態物理專業（半導體材料方向）招收碩士研究生。
近年來的主要研究方向是：
1 、用正電子湮沒方法研究化合物半導體的缺陷特徵以及它們的輻照效應；
2 、與中科院半導體所合作研究高溫退火形成非摻雜半絕緣磷化銦的機制；
3 、關於正電子湮沒壽命譜解譜方法的研究。
