1962年出生於北京，少年在內蒙古長大，曾從師於李可染、吳冠中， 1991年移居新加坡。語言文學學士 - 美術油畫學士 - 美術油畫碩士。
1985-1987年在中央工藝美術學院任教（現清華大學，美術學院）；1987年至今從事全職油畫創作。 作品被中國美術館、新加坡美術館、中國美術家協會、李可染藝術基金會及國內外藝術機構和私人收藏。 Wu Xueli was born in Beijing in the year 1962 and migrated to Singapore in 1991. Xue Li is a graduate of English Language from the Beijing Institute of International Politics; she is also a bachelor degree as well as master degree holder in the art of oil painting. graduated from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology of Australia and LaSelle-SIA College of Arts in Singapore. In the year 1985 to 1987 Xue Li was teaching in the Central Art & Craft Academy in Beijing, currently known as the Art Academy of Qing Hua University； Soon after she left her teaching assignment in 1987, Xue Li became a fulltime professional oil painting artist. Besides organizing her own solo exhibitions she is also actively participating in numerous group exhibitions, below are some of the major event she had taken part with． A good number of her art pieces are collected by China Art Museum, Singapore Art Museum, Chinese Artists Association, Li Ke Ran Art Foundation as well as some private collectors locally and abroad.
