學校簡介
學院教學設備先進、校園環境優美、生活設施齊全、辦學經驗豐富、校風良好。學院基礎教學設施有：20間計算機通用實驗室（教學用計算機1000餘台），30間多媒體教室，有300餘門多媒體課程教學資源，圖書館藏書20餘萬冊；另有信息技術專業實驗室有：計算機電路實驗室、電子實驗室、組網實驗室、微機組裝實驗室、邏輯設計實驗室、計算機多媒體製作實驗室、計算機組成原理實驗室、計算機硬體實驗室、計算機網路實驗室、計算機輔助設計實驗室、單片機微機接口課程實驗室、單片機開發綜合實驗室、軟體技術實驗室、微處理系統實驗室等。
學院 學院堅持專家治校，專家治教的辦學方針，努力提高師資隊伍的整體素質，擁有自己的專家隊伍，現有副教授以上職稱教師一百三十人，其中，享受國務院津貼專家3人、市管優秀專家1人、享受市政府專項津貼專家8人，入選“213人才工程”2人，武漢市“十大名師”1人，市級學科帶頭人14人，市級優秀青年教師12人。學院堅持以就業為導向和育人為本、德育為先的辦學宗旨，以社會需求確定培養目標，要求學生“學會做人，學會做事”。在努力讓所有學生都能享受到高質量教育服務的同時，積極做好畢業生就業指導與推薦工作。
學院設立了專門機構，配備了專職人員，採取徵集就業意向信息、組織就業指導報告會、邀請企業來院專場招聘、向畢業生髮布招聘信息、與企業簽訂優先錄用協定等多種形式，指導、幫助畢業生就業。
學院堅持開放辦學的理念，積極引進國內外優質高等職業教育資源。學院先後與英國愛丁堡特福德學院、德國馬克斯培訓中心就教師交流、共同培養藝術設計、商貿等專業高等職業技術人才，達成合作協定；與微軟公司就共同培養軟體開發和計算機套用人才達成協定，並已於2004年開辦試驗班，效果良好；與華中科技大學、武漢大學軟體學院達成聯合辦學協定；聘請武漢知名專家、教授進行教學督導，確保教學質量。
學院為適應經濟建設與生產技術的發展、為使人才培養目標更加貼近崗位需要，在加強專業建設與改造的同時，走校企聯合辦學之路，先後與武漢藍網信息技術有限公司、湖北鼎誠網路系統集成有限公司、武漢重型工具機集團公司、長飛光纖光纜公司等東湖技術開發區多家IT企業達成聯合辦學協定；依靠企業的技術、設備等優勢，加強學生的實訓力度，共同培養地區經濟建設所需要的軟體業、商貿業、製造業專門人才；經信息產業部電子行業職業技能鑑定指導中心審核，我院被授予“IT職業技術教育工程定點院校”。
院系
學院現設有十個系，即：計算機技術系、經濟貿易系、藝術系、機電工程系、生化與環境工程系、人文社會科學系、外語系。截止2012年12月，學院已建立起電子信息類、計算機類、財經貿易類、機械設計製造類、機電設備類、藝術設計類、語言文化類、生物食品類等門類齊全，以軟體技術、信息安全技術、計算機網路技術、計算機套用技術、電子商務、金融管理與實務、機械製造與自動化、數控技術、產品造型設計、藝術設計、旅遊管理、文秘、園林技術、食品生物技術、商務英語等專業為主體，五十七個專業三十個專業方向的專業結構體系；承擔起為社會培養技能型緊缺人才的重任。

學院順應湖北、武漢軟體及製造業發展的實際需要，立足湖北，服務全國，面向全國二十多個省、市、自治區招生。2005年我院在湖北省招收3000名高職大專生。

The Wuhan Software Vocation College (WHSVC for short) is a full-time ordinary college conducted by the Wuhan people's government. Infrastructure of college includes as follow: 20 Laboratory's computers for common use of (including more than 1000 computers for teaching use), 30 rooms of multimedia classroom, there are course teaching resources of more than 300 pieces of multimedia, the library collects more than 200,000 volumes books; There are professional laboratories of information technologies that have: Circuit laboratory of the computer, electronic laboratory, network laboratory of the group, the computer assembles in the laboratory , design the laboratory in logic, multimedia making laboratory of the computer, the computer makes up the principle laboratory , computer hardware laboratory , network laboratory of the computer, CAD laboratory , the computer interface course laboratory of the one-chip computer, one-chip computer develop the comprehensive laboratory , software engineering laboratory , little process system laboratory etc..
