北京市第55中學具體介紹
五十五中學在教育、教學過程中不斷改革、探索，並取得了優異的成績，學校先後被評為全國首批“現代化教育技術實驗學校”、“北京市德育先進校”、“北京市科技活動示範校”、“北京市實驗教學普及先進單位”、 “北京市校園建設示範校”，中國第一所“國際文憑學校”。 學校分中國學生部和國際學生部。中國學生部32個教學班，國際學生部14個教學班，中外學生1700多人。校園建築面積20000平方米，三座教學樓，一座雙層體育館（一層體操館，二層籃球館），一座能容納1000人的禮堂和一座能容納300人的階梯教室。學校建立了現代化多功能教室和586計算機房，操場全部鋪上了塑膠，為中外學生創造了舒適優雅的學習環境與活動空間。從今年起我校將進行北京市示範校改造工程，改造後的五十五中學，校園面積增加到50畝，新建的教學樓、實驗樓、圖書館以及400米跑道的操場，將更符合現代化教學要求。
學校擁有一支優秀的教師隊伍，其中特、高級教師57人，一級教師56人，有一批模範教師和在區、市乃至全國有影響的學科帶頭人，曾獲全國和北京市獎勵的校領導和教師有27人。學校強調德、智、體、美全面發展，教書育人，不斷提高教學質量。教師治學嚴謹，教科研蔚然成風，在教學過程中重視打好基礎，因材施教，發展特長，並把現代教學技術引入課堂，輔助教學，利用實物投影、反射幻燈、計算機、錄音、錄象、VCD等設備，從視覺、聽覺等感官上充分調動學生的積極性，激發他們的求知慾。
我校學生有良好的學風，學習刻苦努力，積極進取，近年來高考升學率100%，其中80%左右的學生高考分數超過重點大學的調檔線，並且每年都有多名學生考入清華、北大等著名大學。 學校課外活動、勞技課豐富多采，內容廣泛，初、高中開設的勞技課有計算機、英文打字、手工製作、攝影、航模、編織、裁剪、烹飪等項目。課外活動有各學科小組，音樂、舞蹈、美術、體育等課外活動小組。學生通過勞技課與課外活動，既發展了興趣、特長，又開闊了學習領域。十年來，我校學生在學科、科技、文藝、體育等方面有千人次在國際、全國、市、區獲獎。僅2001年~2002年度，我校在全國中學生生物、化學、數學等學科聯賽中取得了優異成績，其中，獲得金獎1人，銅獎1人，一等獎7人，二等獎7人，三等獎3人，並有多名同學保送到清華、北大、南開等著名學府。 學校國際學生部在開放的二十多年來，先後接納了五大洲60多個國家和地區的1500餘名學生。1994年，五十五中被國際文憑組織（IBO）批准為中國第一所國際文憑學校，並指定為亞太地區總部國際文憑中學項目的示範校。（轉）
