Today, I read from paragraph one to six, and in these six paragraphs the author thought that the woman mentioned just splurged because she focused on her lecture too much and her expression was too exaggerated.
I don’t think the author’s opinion is right. It’s just something called jealousy, but not because of her focusing on the lecture. Actually, if you want to measure a person whether have jealousy or not, you just measure whether his/her speech and action are from the bottom of heart.
For example, in one class, a young man commends his teacher is the best in the world. Maybe there are many people think that he splurges, but if he is really grateful to his teacher, it can not be splurge. Before I read this passage, I thought that it must be a bad thing to splurge. But after I read it, I found that there are many kinds of splurge, just like that it is authorized if you splurge in order to show your advantages to others. Until now, I don’t really understand the meaning of “splurge”, but I’m sure that when I read the following paragraphs, I’m certain I can get a better understanding.
