史蒂文斯理工學院斯蒂文斯理工學院在微生物、納米電子技術、無線通信、環境科學以及工程、材料科學和工程、技術治理等領域的教學科研都處於領先地位。尤其是電信管理專業在美國名列前茅。史蒂文斯工程專業本科畢業生深造獲得博士學位的比例僅低於麻省理工和加州理工，名列全美第三，是一所具有雄厚的教學和科研實力的理工學院。
2018年《美國新聞與世界周刊》（USNEWS）的大學本科綜合排名為全美第69名。
史蒂文斯理工學院2010年斯蒂文斯理工學院在華盛頓特區的羅納德·里根大廈開放了新的校區以提供技術管理和系統工程等方面的教育。學院當前著力於商業與技術的結合以使學生不僅獲得創造的技能，並且獲得領導和管理項目的能力。
學校優勢
史蒂文斯理工學院斯蒂文斯理工學院被公認最好的學科是工程學、理學和技術管理。史蒂文斯理工學院全校將近有70%的學生是攻讀工程科系，11%攻讀計算器及計算機科學，10%攻讀自然科學。
學院設有“合作課程”，即校企合作教學，學生要花五年才能畢業，但在五年期間，學生會到IBM以及General Foods等企業實習三至五個學期不等。學校下設有四大學院：人文學院、工程與科學學院、系統與企業學院、技術管理學院。
嚴格的課程與實際生活中的套用相結合，使73%的學生在畢業前找到了工作，其中95%的學生在畢業後六個月內得到了他們預期的薪水。超過三百家企業每年會到校園招聘，所有專業的平均起薪為64,150美元，最高起薪為107,000美元。收入最高的專業為化學工程、計算機科學/網路安全和計量金融。
史蒂文斯理工學院專業優勢： 金融工程（全美排名13位）、材料科學與工程（全美排名第67位，2011usnews專業排名）、電子工程/通信工程專業（全美排名第73位）、土木工程專業（全美排名的第74位）、機械工程專業（全美排名第82位）等。
學院建有眾多優秀的研究中心，其中最著名的為三個國家優秀研究中心：The Center for Secure & Resilient (CSR) Maritime Commerce；Engineering Research Center (SERC)；The Atlantic Center for the Innovative Design & Control of Small Ships (ACCESS)，上一年度獲得價值2900萬美圓的資助研究機會。

School of Engineering and Science開設的項目有：計算機科學（CS）、電子工程（ECE）、生物醫藥工程、材料科學、土木工程、機械工程（ME）、環境海洋工程、物理學、數學、跨學科研究等。
史蒂文斯理工學院School of System and Enterprises開設的項目有：金融工程（FE）、系統工程、工程管理、企業系統、基礎設施系統、空間系統工程、系統安全工程等。Howe School of Technology Management開設的項目有：信息系統（IS）、管理學、項目管理（PM）、通信管理、MBA、技術管理等。
College of Arts and Letters的碩士項目為：The Master of Arts in Technology，Policy，and Ethics。研究科技歷史、環境、政策、道德、旨在為人類科技進步探尋一條和諧平衡的發展之道。

斯蒂文斯與中國多所大學開展了合作辦學項目或合作研究。研究生部與北京理工大學的合作為通信管理（碩士學位），微電子及光電學（碩士學位），與中央財經大學的合作項目為項目管理（碩士學位）。
