劇情簡介
HBO出品的電視電影，分三個單元，通過發生在一幢房子三個時期不同住戶身上的故事，反映美國les運動情況和處境的變遷。
1961：Edith（VanessaRedgrave）和Abby（MarianSeldes）很恩愛地過了一生，雙雙垂老，Abby在一次意外中摔傷，Edith在醫院裡守候整夜，還是不能見她最後一面，因為院方規定只有親屬才能見垂危病人。Abby的外甥來接收她的遺產，雖然房子是Edith和Abby兩個人一起付的按揭，但歸在Abby名下，她們的關係不受法律認可，Edith只有淒婉離開。
1972：四個女大學生住在一起。她們在學校里熱心發起les運動，但卻被婦女運動社團排擠。這四個人是主張婦女解放的les，很反感太男性化的女人。所以當Linda（MichelleWilliams）面對Amy（ChloeSevigny），一個非常男性化的T，她的內心十分猶疑，三個室友群起而攻之。最後，Linda終於克服了對Amy的成見，投入Amy懷抱。
2000：Fran（SharonStone）和Kal（EllenDeGeneres）是幸福美滿的一對,唯一遺憾是沒有孩子。她們想遍了各種辦法。先是物色男人提供精子，但對方要求介入孩子的生活；於是找精子倉庫，但是久久不奏效。最後求助於醫生，終於人工受孕成功。
