When I have read this paragraph many times, I think this article is very interesting. In my opinion, beauty is only shin deep but there are many people want to pursue it. As we know, all people like beautiful and hope their wife or husband is the best one. I think we Can understand them. Most intelligent put physical attractiveness near the bottom of the list, I think they are hypocritical. If he or she loves, they can choose everyone, I think the other people should not interfere them. But I agree with Cicero’view that “the final good and the supreme duty of the wise man is to resist appearance.”
