個人簡介
那時候Dan Gibson的公司，就以擅長捕捉自然界的聲音而著名，他們製作的自然電影，音畫同步，在那時可是一個創舉。進入80年代他更是發明了丹·吉布森拋物線定點收音麥克風（Dan Gibson Parabolic Microphone），以便更清晰的捕獲自然界中獨特的聲響。
於是，1983年，以 Dan Gibson至愛的歌曲，艾靈頓公爵的In My Solitude（我的孤獨）命名，專注於自然聲響的Solitudes公司成立了。這之後，Dan Gibson的南征北伐，Solitudes公司誕生了無數自然音樂經典，那些採集自人跡罕至的海角天涯的自然聲響，配上Ron Allen、Howard Baer、Claude Desjardins等音樂人空靈舒緩的音樂，帶著我們回到那個純淨的古老的地球。
社會越來越快，我們無時不被壓力與焦慮所包圍，我們如何能擁有寧靜的片刻？
幾十年來，這個老人的努力和執著，用自然之聲帶來心靈的慰藉。而他也因為常年穿梭於叢林於荒漠導致膝蓋致殘，1994年，72歲的Dan Gibson成為“加拿大傑出公民”，他拄著柺杖出現在人們面前，那些美好的音樂對比艱辛的旅程，讓人感慨無比。
2004年Dan Gibson推出了自己的第一張DVD，名叫《Natural Beauty》（自然魅力）。
遺憾的是，2006年3月18日，Dan Gibson老先生與世長辭。但是他的公司會由他的兒子繼續傳承下去。
