Within Temptation來自鬱金香的美麗國度——荷蘭。1996年，離開了The Circle樂隊的吉他手Robert Westerholt，找來他的女友Sharon den Adel擔任主唱，組建了Within Temptation。經過了一系列的尋找樂手的工作，樂隊終於進入正軌，開始了他們的音樂之路。
