1975年南京大學地質系畢業,1985-1988年南京大學地球科學系古生物學及地層學專業碩士研究生,1988-1991年南京大學地球科學系古生物學及地層學專業博士研究生。1996年在德國Technical University Berlin學習,1999年德國DAAD學者。
