1974年畢業於北京大學地球物理系1984年獲北京大學理學碩士學位（地球動力學）
2001年獲北京大學理學博士學位（固體力學）
3.工作經歷：
1974年畢業留北京大學地質系工作。1999年至今在北京大學地球物理系工作1987在日本京都大學防災研究所合作研究（7個月）
1991-2001長期在美國加州大學伯克利分校合作研究（5年）
2003-2004在日本愛媛大學合作研究（2個月）

主要獲獎（主要參加者）：1 國家“七五”攻關項目“反應堆結構安全審批軟體”（獲國家七五攻關重大科研成果獎）。

1 地球動力學：構造應力場。2 本構關係：粘彈性和彈塑性地質模型。
3 地震學：震源破裂過程的數值模擬及應力轉移對地震發生的影響
4 工程地震：基礎與建築物的動態相互作用，接觸和碰撞問題。
5 工程地質：地下隧洞和邊坡的穩定性數值分析。
6 數值方法：有限元方法及程式設計，不連續變形快體系統的動力分析
（LDDA）。
