1984年7月至1987年10月， 上海建材學院任教；
1987年10月至1996年9月， 武漢工業大學材料學院任教；
1996年9月至2001年5月， 荷蘭代爾夫特理工大學土木學院訪問學者、博士生、博士；
2001年6月至2002年6月， 香港理工大學土木系助理研究員；
2002年6月至今， 武漢理工大學材料學院教授。
