考試介紹
美國密西根九級英語考試是聯合國開發項目和世界衛生組織等國際組織為在中國選拔出國留學人員及對其頒發獎學金的英語水平考試。目前世界上共有120多個國家承辦該項英語水平考試。在美國、加拿大等國至少有300多所優質大學（州立大學或同類及以上學校）都承認Michigan English Test Level 9考試成績作為本科、研究生入學的英語成績，是除托福（TOEFL）、雅思之外另一個為美國多所大學承認的英語語言資格考試。在美國，尤其是在加拿大有些院校甚至專門需要Michigan English Test Level 9考試成績。
Michigan English Test Level 9
密西根考試與托福考試認證具有同等效力，是美國各高校招收外國留學生入學前要求通過的英語水平，其認證在美國已得到越來越多的高校所認可。
密西根考試除了多項選擇和寫作兩部分還有口語考試部分。
密西根考試的難度相當於大學英語四、六級水平。由於上述特點，越來越受到國外留學生的歡迎。本課程專門為準備前往國外學習，工作人士和想全面提高英語能力所設立。
有效時間
密9考級成績在3年內有效。
考試優勢
1、密9考試與托福考試認證具有同等效力，但其難度僅相當於中國大學英語四、六級水平，更適合中國大陸大多數考生的英語水平，因此而成為中國大陸越來越多考生的優先選擇。
2、密9考試分為多項選擇（含聽力、辭彙、語法和閱讀）、寫作以及口語三部分。任何兩部分的分數達到80分以上，另外一部分70分以上即視為通過。
3、與該考試配套，由美國本土專家編制的培訓課程在致力於提高考生的英語套用能力的同時，也為參加培訓的考生提供高達80%以上的通過率保證。
4、2012，Michigan English Test Level 9與公眾青少年素質能力研發中心、公眾教育考試研究院（籌）等單位合作，在中國大陸正式設立了“美國密西根9級英語考試（Michigan English Test Level 9）（中國區）考試中心”，在各地設立報名點和考點，開始實施Michigan English Test Level 9通考，中國大陸學生可在國內就近考試。
5、2012年，Michigan English Test Level 9與公眾教育考試研究院（籌）和泰思教育科技有限公司（籌）達成深度合作，Michigan English Test Level 9與TAST（泰思考試）深度融合，成為TAST英語考試部分。TAST（泰思考試）為中國大陸第三方學業綜合標準化考試，分英語、數學、語文、自然科學、社會綜合五個科目（除英語部分外，其他四科全部為中國課程、中文考試），TAST（泰思考試）成績將成為中國學生考取美國、加拿大等英語國家大學的綜合標準化考試成績之一。
6、2012年“美國密西根9級英語考試（Michigan English Test Level 9）（中國區）考試中心”與公眾學業素質教育研究所、ACTS競賽達成深度合作，Michigan English Test Level 9的1至9級考試（考級）與ACTS競賽之ACTS英語競賽（國小3年級至高中3年級英語競賽）深度融合，開展Michigan English Test Level 9的1至9級英語水平等級測驗。
考試結構
評估應試者的聽力、閱讀、語法以及在個人、公共，職業以及教育場合下的口語技能。
聽力和閱讀所選取的材料，均源自於北美地區真實的生活場景，專為國中以上青少年及成人評估自己在各種場合下通用英語水平而設計。
密9考試分為多項選擇、寫作和口語三大部分。每一部分的內容和考試時間如下：

考試分為三部分，在任何兩部分的分數得到八十分及一門七十分以上視為通過。各部分的簡介如下：
1） 密西根九級考試客觀題部分簡介
該部分包括聽力部分共20道題，語法和閱讀部分共有80道題。時間為1個小時。
2）密西根九級考試口語部分簡介
密西根九級考試口語部分共有5道題，時間為10-15分鐘。題型由個人信息，描述，過去和將來時，細節描述，舉例支持論點和角色扮演等組成。 考試採用外教和學生一對一面試的模式來進行。
3）密西根九級考試寫作部分簡介
密西根九級寫作考試時間共為一個小時，合理的時間分配應為:10分鐘列提綱,40分鐘寫作,最後10分鐘用來檢查。

通考
為方便考生，密9在中國大陸一年舉辦4次通考，分別在3月份、6月份、9月份和12月份的第二個周末。具體日期詳見網站通知。
TAST
分別在每年上半年和下半年至少各一次，具體日期由公眾教育考試研究院和泰思教育科技有限公司發布通知。
等級考試
分別在每年暑假和寒假各考一次，具體日期由“美國密西根9級英語考試（Michigan English Test Level 9）（ACTS競賽）考試中心”發布通知。
