劇情介紹[/title]聖誕老人是聖誕節的象徵，傳說中的聖誕老人會在聖誕前夜駕著由馴鹿拉的雪橇，將禮物送到千家萬戶。然而，隨著人類社會的不斷進步，已經沒有什麼人再相信這個流傳了很久的傳說，沒有人再相信聖誕老人的存在了。然而，小男孩克勞斯(喬什·哈切森配音)卻不這么認為，儘管他的父母和周圍的朋友都告訴他聖誕老人只不過是個虛構的人物，他本身根本就不存在，但克勞斯卻堅持相信聖誕老人的存在，因此，克勞斯經常會遭到同伴的嘲笑，但他始終沒有動搖他的信念。
終於，克勞斯的堅持為他贏得了回報。在一個聖誕節的前夕，克勞斯在恍惚中睡著，忽然地板開始顫抖，桌上的器皿嘩嘩作響，隨著汽笛聲嗚嗚長鳴，一列神秘的火車停在門前，他緊張地打開房門，看見一個和藹的列車長(湯姆·漢克斯配音)站在了他的面前。列車長邀請他乘車旅行，前往北極參加聖誕慶典，拜訪傳說中的聖誕老人。克勞斯孩驚訝極了，惴惴不安地答應下來。在克勞斯登上火車後，他又發現更多的小夥伴，大家在一起十分的開心，經歷了一場難忘的旅程。
最終，火車到達打了終點站北極，孩子們歡快地跳下火車，北極城的聖誕慶典正式開始了，所有人都沉浸在歡樂的氣氛中。這時，一個聖誕老人走到克勞斯面前，和藹地詢問他需要什麼禮物，克勞斯囁嚅地說，他只想要馴鹿身上的一個小鈴鐺。克勞斯如願以償的得到了想要的禮物，但在回家的時候，他卻不小心弄丟了鈴鐺，他傷心極了。沒想到第二天醒來，他發現小鈴鐺就完好無損地擺在聖誕樹下。母親看到後非常驚訝，不過她認為鈴鐺壞掉了。然而克勞斯心裡卻非常清楚，他知道只有相信聖誕老人真的存在的人才能聽到小鈴鐺清脆的響聲。
