劇情簡介
影片改編自真實的故事，展現了一個理想主義者的傳奇，一個流浪的故事。
克里斯托弗（埃米爾•赫斯基飾）家境優渥，是亞特蘭大私立名校艾莫里的優等生，前程似錦。但是，他從學校畢業後，選擇了截然不同的人生，放棄令人羨慕的工作，把存款捐給慈善機構，去阿拉斯加尋找自我。在家人的勸阻聲中，他踏上了回歸自然的慢慢長路，成為名副其實的流浪者。
一路上，他遇到不少人，也數次遭受野外生存的挑戰，每一步都充滿了艱辛，他以堅韌的毅力，實踐著尋找自我的夢想……
