franked credit

Franked credit是澳洲獨有的一種稅收系統（imputation system），與傳統系統相對（classic system, which still be adopted in USA）， 用於避免雙重徵稅。

具體過程如下：

在classic system下，公司如發放股利給股東，需先從股利中扣除corporate income tax，在股東接收股利之前，再繳納個人所得稅。

在imputation system下，在公司繳納公司稅之後，股東就有了跟公司所繳納的公司稅相等的credit，此credit可以幫助股東免交個人所得稅，從而避免了雙重徵稅。
