創作背景
組合成員之一的麥克莫表示，他每周都會在舊貨店中挑選物品。大多數的說唱歌手討論的話題是“買多少東西”和“花了多少錢”等，而他則認為對於說唱歌手而言去舊貨店是用錢的一種好的方式。針對這些麥克莫和瑞恩·路易斯二人創作了這首歌曲 。
而歌曲的合作者Wanz則是二人通過Street Level唱片的持有者D-Sane認識的。2012年7月，馬克莫和瑞恩·路易斯在尋找一位聲音與Nate Dogg相近的歌手參與歌曲的錄製，於是D-Sane便將Wanz介紹給了二人 。

《Thrift Shop》是一首以“無禮”的方式稱讚了二手服飾的歌曲，是近年來獨立歌曲的代表 。歌曲採用了更為閒散、但同樣有著吸引力的節拍 。在穿插了薩克斯的副歌部分，麥克莫唱道，“我披著貂皮大衣，身邊美女如雲，不過這件衣服應該哪去洗洗，聞起來就像是R. Kelly的床單”，以其嘲諷了那些漸增的、靠精緻的折扣服飾接近潮流的人 。

截圖音樂錄影帶於2012年8月29日釋出，由喬恩·喬恩· 奧古斯塔沃、瑞恩·路易斯和本·哈格蒂擔任導演 ，在一處名為“Capitol Hill Value Village”的舊貨店完成拍攝 。視頻中麥克莫穿梭在俱樂部舞廳中，穿著從舊貨店中購來的時髦衣服坐在一輛DeLorean式車內。而在之後的鏡頭中能看見麥克莫在其中一家他喜愛的店中開起了派對 。
