歌手信息
洛佩茲出生成長於紐約的布朗克斯區。母親Guadalupe Rodríguez（幼稚園老師）與父親David Lopez（計算機專家）都是波多黎各人。洛佩茲是一位使用英語和西班牙語的雙語者，有兩個姐妹（—位是在著名新聞電視台WCBS-TV工作的Lynda，另一位則是音樂教師的Leslie）。
洛佩茲的求學生涯都就讀於天主教學校。自十九歲開始就自己籌措學費來學習歌唱與舞蹈課程。在離開Baruch College之後，洛佩茲將自己的工作時間分配在律師事務所工作、學習舞蹈課程與在曼哈頓夜店的表演上，在試鏡爭取舞蹈演出數月之後，她被選中成為數個饒舌歌手音樂錄像帶中演出的舞者，像是在1990年『Yo! MTV』的演出中、以及在美國音樂大獎中擔任NKOTB的後備舞者。
