Last week, I learned from the paragraph eight to paragraph twelve .Some sentence which from the author made a overt impression on me.
First, the author said:” IS the physical –aatractiveness stereotype accurate? Or was Leo Tolstoy correct when he wrote that it is a strong illusion,to suppose that beauty is goodness.”
I really agree with the contend of the author.Beauty is only skin deep.The phsical beauty is superfical, and it is not as important as a person’s intellectual,emotional.and spiritual qualities.Even some proverb said:” Beauty and folly are ofen companies.” Or “A fair face may hide a foul heart.”so on.
Definitlly, we can not look down upon the appearance because of the love of beauty is an essential part of all healthy Human Nature.However,the goodness of heart seem to be more attractive than the cute face,slim body,fashion clother.
Maybe in proportion to the degree in which it is felt will probably be the degree in which nobleness and beauty of character will be attained.
Second,the sentence from the author:” other researchers havefound that the more in love a woman ,the more phsically attractive she finds him.” In other words,the good is the beautiful.
Above all these,there are something interest to be found that the beauty is a subjective feeling while the physical appearance is objective .As the relationships development, the impression from the physical appearance will be gradually replaced by the feelings.The feelings mostly from the comprehensive acquaintance for the person,especially from the personality.
A better personality is to man what perfume is to a flowers.
The beauty of goodness of heart is so precious and so congenial.The powerful feeling evoke us the honest emotion.But the physical appearance can not touch the deepest part of the healthy human nature.
After reading the paragragh,I still hold the notion that the real beauty is in decent motion and charming personality.These things will make a durabe effection on other people,and really gain the admiration from the people.
Converselly,the physical appearance doesn’t have the traits because of the skin deep the boring,the changable.
The poet Gibran speaks to us of beauty:”Beauty is kind and gently.Beauty is soft whisperings.We have seen
her dancing with the autum leaves,and we saw a drift of show in her hair.”
