Today I read the paragraph 23 to paragraph 25. And I found the point view of the author, she is a modesty woman. In this article, author wrote that she is a show offs many times. And she can admire other woman in show off. But when I look the words lord chesterfield wrote to his sons: “modesty is the only sure bait when you angle for praise.” I puzzled, and think the show offs is not acceptable. In Chinese culture, the modesty is (the) most important, and the most of scholar were not accept show offs. And they think the modesty is the source of the perfect relationship. And the show offs was(is) appearance, this was not a right communication. But now more and more human began to accept the Europe culture. And the communication is more and more important. And I think the show offs is the one of art of communication. And at last I will say that the show offs is right, and the modesty is right too.
