Load Frames
Shore Western manufactures load frames to meet any requirement. Designed to react the full force of your test application the result is an extremely rigid, backlash-free test system that produces repeatable and reliable results. Shore Western’s standard line of load frames includes tabletop and freestanding two and four Column units designed for an infinite fatigue life and offer the highest quality of workmanship, providing years of performance. Typical applications include cyclic materials testing, high-frequency fatigue testing and general purpose precision force applications.

Shore Western offers a variety of load frame models varying from 1 KIP (4.4 kN) models to huge 1,000 KIP (4,448 kN) force rated units. Our bi-axial load frames offer both tension and compression as well as torsional capability. Combined with an SC6000 control system they create a complete Material Test System. Options include crossheads with hydraulic lifts and locks and we can also supply a wide variety of grips, fixtures, load cells and extensometers.
301 Series Table Top Load Frames
301 Series load frames are designed specifically to provide fatigue or compression/ tension test capability, delivering up to 10,000 lbs. (44.48 kN) force in only 1.7 sq. ft. (.158 sq. m) of bench space. The 301 Series Load Frame utilizes a 2-column symmetrical construction with fixed-platen, moveable crosshead configuration. These units are cost effective replacements for the MTS 858 load frames.
302 Series Load Frames
302 Series Load Frames are available in standard models ranging from 22 KIP (98 kN) through 110 KIP (489 kN) units using a 2-column symmetrical construction with fixed-platen, moveable crosshead configurations. These units are cost effective replacements for the MTS 318 load frames.
304 Series Load Frames
304 Series Load Frames are available in standard models ranging from 110 KIP (489 kN) through 550 KIP (2,447 kN) with larger units designed and built to meet specific applications. The 304 Series incorporates a 4-column symmetrical construction with fixed-platen, moveable crosshead configurations. These units are cost effective replacements for the MTS 311 load frames
306 Series Load Frames
306 Series Axial/Torsional Load Frames are designed to perform static and dynamic bi-axial materials testing. The 306 Series Load Frames are available in four standard force-torque configurations; 10/5,000, 20/10,000, 50/20,000, and 100/50,000 KIP/lbf-in (22.2/565, 44.5/1130, 88.9/2260 and 222.4/5649 kN/N-m) with other force combinations available on special order. The 306 Series incorporates a 2-column symmetrical construction with fixed-platen, moveable crosshead configurations.
322 Series Load Tables
322 Series Load Tables increase your test configuration ability by using a T-slot table base and offering the same performance as the 302, 304 and 306 Series Load Frames. The 322 Series incorporates same symmetrical column construction and moveable crosshead configurations as the 302, 304 and 306 Series Load Frames. These units are cost effective replacements for the MTS 322 load frames.
