《成人英語:本科》(上冊)內容簡介：在我國當前的成人高校公共英語教學中，教材是一個突出的問題。由於受種種客觀條件的制約，目前統編成人高校公共英語教材幾乎沒有，大部分成人院校只能靠使用普通高校的公共英語教材來進行日常的教學。實際上，由於教材，的因素，很多教師根本不知道應該講授些什麼，學生也不知道應該學習些什麼，從而導致教學方式呆板、無的放矢和沒有“新”內容的教學過程時有發生。學生覺得課程枯燥乏味，興趣日益減少，教學效果不夠明顯。為了真正提高成人英語教學質量，使學生確實能夠利用英語這一工具來學習國外的先進科學技術，成人英語教學的教材必須實行全面改革。但教材的選擇必須具有科學性，選編的教材必須與學生各階段的知識能有機地銜接在一起，這樣才能保證和發揮教材在培養語言能力中的作用。與此同時，教學方法也應該大力改進，改進的目標應該以突出“新穎”為主，讓學生能在新鮮感的作用下，趣味盎然地進行學習。改進後的教學方法應是以鍛鍊學生語言實際運用能力為主要教學目的。
