1985年獲武漢華中農業大學學士學位。
1991年獲北京農業大學(現中國農業大學)博士學位。
1992-1993在中國科學院微生物研究所作博士後。
1994年在荷蘭Wageningen大學作訪問學者。
1995-1997年在英國劍橋大學作博士後。
1998-2003年先後在美國尤他大學和Vanderbilt大學作博士後和訪問學者。
研究方向
利用傳統的模式動物果蠅進行神經生物學的基礎套用研究。
主要貢獻
研究內容
1) 以果蠅為材料,用分子、細胞、遺傳、發育和神經生物學為主要實驗檢測手段研究神經系統的結構和功能。
2) 以果蠅為模式動物研究人類重要神經疾病包括智力低下的分子遺傳機制,從而為這類疾病的預防和治療提供理論依據,同時為神經系統的正常發育和功能提供新的見解。
