研究所簡介

以醫學厚植人文，以人文實踐醫學
醫學人文研究所為因應時代潮流，基於醫學與人文領域之跨領域整合，拓深醫學中本有的人文精神及其研究，提

升人文涵養及實踐精神，秉持著「以醫學厚植人文，以人文實踐醫學」之教育宗旨，強調以多元化方式，啟發薰陶學生具敏銳、巨觀視野、又能反思的醫療人文素養為教育理念，養成研究生能夠具有自我反思、問題的理論與實務之份析批判，並具國際觀視野等能力之教育目標。
HISTORY
The former president of Taipei Medical University (then Taipei Medical College), professor Hu Chun-hong, established the Medical Research Humanities Section in 1993 under the leadership of Professor Hsiao Liao-ching. In 1994 this was raised to become the medical humanities Center, and in 2003 the Center was transformed into the present GIMH, which is an independent institute within the university. So it has become TMU’s “first research institute for humanities and sociology, and the first institute within all of Taiwan that engages humanities in a multidisciplinary program with medicine.”
