When I read the first sentence, the word “favor” appealed to me. I just knew？it means like or help. I never thought it can be used？as this. It strikes my chords.
I think the preposition is difficult, so I always confuse them. For Instance, “satisfaction with social relations and health becomes ….” Perhaps I will use “of” instead of “with”. I don’t know clearly whether they are different in this sentence. Therefore, I should be more aware of fixed phrases and read some grammar books.
This？is a different culture I had found. Take an example of “give no clue”. It seems a little bit inconsistent logic. Actually, Chinese people would like to use certain verb. Maybe we don’t universally use “give something”. And during reading, I found that it's hard to apply to “yet”. The word means “even". But sometime it can represents “but”. Why the word is put in the opening of the sentence?
To my excited, I learned a pair of antonym –“gloom” and “joy”. It is enriching my vocabulary.
