DonnyHathaway關於DonnyHathaway：
DonnyHathaway（1945年10月1日－1979年1月13日）是一位非裔美國靈魂樂大大師，他最著名的是和RobertaFlack的合作演唱。DonnyHathaway出生在芝加哥，在聖路易斯長大，在1964年靠彈鋼琴贏取了Howard大學的藝術類獎學金，並在三年後離開了大學。
他後來開始寫歌、伴奏，並為TheStapleSingers,JerryButlerandArethaFranklin當過製作人。他的第一首單曲是和JuneConquest一起合作的“IThankYouBaby”，接下來是較有影響力的（儘管還不算太大）“TheGhetto,Pt.1”，他的首張LP《EverythingIsEverything》評論一般，他的第二張同名專輯與接下來與RobertaFlack對唱的專輯都受到了好評。他接下來也出了一些歌曲，但因為情緒不好的原因，出歌速度在70年代中期漸漸慢了下來，在70年代末他重新和RobertaFlack合作了一首單曲《TheCloserIGettoYou》，之後更多的作品都是以對唱的方式出現，但Hathaway在1979年卻意外的從紐約城旅館15層樓高他的房間跳樓自殺。
DonnyHathaway的DonnyHathaway‘sLive專輯對很多的藝人都產生了影響，包括IndiaArie和StevieRayVaughan，這張短短的現場專輯還包括了著名的R&B大師WillieWeeks（貝斯吉它）和CornellDupree（吉它）。
