Shakira 夏奇拉夏奇拉，出生於哥倫比亞小城，而今，Shakira除了一再地獲得各種音樂獎項的肯定外，更被極具影響力與極高榮耀指標的美國時代雜誌選為雜誌封面人物，被推舉為當今Latin藝人的代表人物。Shakira是魔女還是天使？這是一個問題。對於Shakira，這個問題似乎永遠都無法找到答案。她決不清純可人，但卻總能讓人感覺到聖潔的一面；她決不放蕩不羈，但卻也經常狂野奔放，熱情似火。也許她就是游離在魔女與天使邊緣的精靈吧……
1977年2月2日，Shakira出生於哥倫比亞的巴蘭基利亞，其母是西班牙和義大利後裔，其父具有美國出生的黎巴嫩天主教徒背景。夏奇拉在年僅四歲的時候，即寫下其生平第一首詩——《玻璃玫瑰（La Rosa De Cristal）》。七歲時，她如願得到一台打字機作為禮物，並開始持續不停地寫詩，而她寫的這些詩最後都創作成了歌曲。在她八歲的時候，即創作了生平第一首歌曲——《你的墨鏡（Tus gafas oscuras）》，歌詞內容圍繞著她的父親以及紀念其車禍身亡的哥哥，其創作靈感來自於總是戴著墨鏡掩飾喪子悲傷的父親。
專輯介紹
2000年，公司為Shakira推出了一張名為“MTV Unplugged”的專輯，其中的歌曲收錄於99年為拉丁美洲區的電視網所舉行的演唱會實況。而該場演唱會也於當年9月在拉丁美洲和美國境內強力播放，Shakira也藉此獲得了Grammy“最佳拉丁流行專輯獎”。
在站穩了拉丁和美國市場後，Shakira隨即在2001年推出了眾望已久的個人首張英語專輯《Laundry Service》。她一人挑起詞曲創作、製作大任，盡情施展她與生具有的音樂才華，專輯發行首周便登上了Billboard榜Top3的位置。在商業上的巨大成功，使Shakira一躍成為世界級巨星。首支主打冠軍單曲《Whenever Wherever》以安第斯山脈排笛、巴西鼓等傳統樂器調味，奔放而野性十足。
