status 屬性可設定或返回視窗狀態欄中的文本。
語法
window.status=sometext
說明
通常顯示這條訊息的時間是有限的，直到其他的訊息將它覆蓋，或者用戶把滑鼠移動到視窗的其他區域為止。當除了 status 聲明的訊息時，狀態欄要么恢復為它默認的空白狀態，要么是再次顯示出屬性 defaultStatus 聲明的默認訊息。
據我們所知，不少瀏覽器已經關閉了腳本化它們的狀態欄的功能。這是一項安全措施，防止隱藏了超連結真正目的的釣魚攻擊。
