許冠傑（1948.9.6－），暱稱“阿Sam”，在香港樂壇被尊稱為“歌神”、“香港歌王”、“香港流行音樂祖師”和“廣東歌鼻祖”。許冠傑是現代粵語流行歌曲的開山鼻祖，他創造的香港口語演繹法開創了香港本地歌曲的新紀元，對粵語歌的推行和發展起到了決定性作用，同時他也是香港樂壇自作自唱的先驅。許冠傑1974年推出的專輯《鬼馬雙星》揭開了香港當代流行樂壇的序幕，1976年的經典大碟《半斤八兩》則標誌香港粵語流行歌的市場正式形成。許冠傑是締造當代香港流行歌曲的最大功臣。他與兄弟許冠文、許冠武和許冠英合稱“許氏四傑”。
許冠文：許家老大：導演、演員，有一個女兒叫許思行，已婚。許冠武：許家老二，從事電影幕後，攝影師等。許冠英：許家老三，喜劇電影演員（已故）。許冠傑：許家幼子，演員、歌手，他分別有兩子；許懷欣和許懷谷。許冠文、許冠英、許冠傑一齊合作過不少電影，並稱“許氏三兄弟”。
