創作背景
《Praying》談論了凱莎過去產生過的自殺想法。2014年，凱莎狀告音樂製作人Dr. Luke，稱在與其合作期間，曾遭其多年性侵 。在法庭判決她敗訴後，凱莎遭到唱片公司雪藏，之後還罹患神經性貪食症，外界關於她的爭議也不斷，凱莎的事業也進入黑暗期 。凱莎通過歌曲告訴人們她成功克服了心裡的絕望與沮喪，並找到了自己的方向，她希望通過該歌曲讓那些受過傷害或者傷害過別人的人心靈得到治癒 。
