John Lone

Born in 1952, John Lone (尊龍) was an orphan with no parents. He was raised by a lady and at age 10 was sent to an opera academy for training.At age 17, he immigrated to the United States where he continued his education in drama training.He first earn his name in the film "Year of the dragon" through which he won a Golden Globe Best Supporting Actor Award.In 1987, he participated in the Oscar Best Picture Award film "The Last Emperor" through which he earned great success and fame. In 1993, his film M.Butterfly, though suffered from unsatisfactory box office, receivedhigh appreciation from critics. From 1994-95, he
had been having his career base in both Taiwan and Japan, focusing on his singing , where he made a few CDs and perform in numerous concerts.
He is currently working in China , making mostly TV series.
