研究方向
主要從事微生物天然產物資源的開發和生物合成機理的研究。
微生物次級代謝的研究。以放線菌為主要研究對象,致力於運用分子遺傳學、生物化學、化學和生物信息學的綜合手段來研究微生物來源的活性次級代謝產物。解析它們的合成機理和生物學功能,尋找新的代謝機理和具有良好生物活性的新化合物。希望在對這些具有實用價值的活性分子的生物合成充分了解的基礎上,設計合理的工程策略,改造目標分子。同時嘗試利用基因組發掘(Genome mining)的方法得到新的微生物次級產物。
研究內容及意義
微生物天然產物是藥用小分子、食品添加劑等的重要來源之一。關於微生物天然產物的研究對現代人生活和健康狀況的改善起了極大的推動作用。本實驗室致力於運用分子遺傳學、生物化學、化學和生物信息學的綜合手段來研究微生物生產的具有實用價值的生物活性分子。主要包括以下兩個方面的研究內容:
(1) 選擇有實用價值的微生物來源的活性分子,利用不同的手段研究其生物合成機理。在對微生物來源活性分子的生物合成機理充分了解的基礎上,設計合理的工程策略,改造目標分子。
(2) 微生物的全基因組測序揭示,遠遠超過已知化合物數量的天然產物合成基因簇存在於微生物基因組中。希望利用新發展的基因組學手段,探索微生物生產天然產物的潛力,並選擇特定的菌種或特殊類型的化合物,嘗試利用基因組發掘的方法得到新的活性分子。
