解決肝膽外科專業內複雜的技術難題，先後開展了原位肝移植術、十二指腸乳頭癌局部切除術、腹腔鏡膽管切開取石術、腹腔鏡肝囊腫開窗術、腹腔鏡脾切除術、經皮膽囊碎石術、EST+球囊擴張膽道取石術、經十二指鏡膽道內支撐術等；中晚期肝臟、膽道、胰腺和脾臟惡性腫瘤的綜合治療，包括：DSA超選狀態下動脈栓塞化療、腫瘤射頻消融、125I粒子植入術，治療大量患者，療效顯著。能及時了解國內外本專業發展的新動態，組織和促進醫院和科室與國外相關醫學中心在專業上的交流。在本專業有豐富的臨床工作經驗，熟練掌握本專業的臨床常見病和複雜疑難疾病的診斷和治療，作為學科帶頭人，能獨立和指導下級醫師完成本專業各種疾病的診斷和手術治療，如難度大而複雜的Whipple’s手術、半肝切除術、門奇靜脈聯合斷流術、高位膽管癌根治術和原位肝移植術等；掌握本專業的一些特殊的診療技術，指導下級醫師完成DSA肝動脈造影及超選狀態下動脈栓塞和化療、PTC、PTCD、PTG、ERCP和EST等；定期組織教學查房、科室專業討論會和講座；積極開展本專業相關新技術新業務，解決肝膽外科專業內複雜的技術難題，先後開展了原位肝移植術、十二指腸乳頭癌局部切除術、腹腔鏡膽管切開取石術、腹腔鏡肝囊腫開窗術、腹腔鏡脾切除術、經皮膽囊碎石術、EST+球囊擴張膽道取石術、經十二指鏡膽道內支撐術等；中晚期肝臟、膽道、胰腺和脾臟惡性腫瘤的綜合治療，包括：DSA超選狀態下動脈栓塞化療、腫瘤射頻消融、125I粒子植入術，治療大量患者，療效顯著。能及時了解國內外本專業發展的新動態，組織和促進醫院和科室與國外相關醫學中心在專業上的交流。曾先後在奧地利Innsbruck大學醫學中心外科、奧地利科學院醫學生物研究所和美國Rochester大學醫學中心外科進修、學習和工作6年。長期從事本專業的臨床和基礎研究工作，主要研究的方向為肝膽外科領域相關疾病的發病機理、疾病的介入治療和器官移植免疫耐受及移植性血管病變發病機制和預防，承擔全軍十五重點課題一項和其他科研項目，先後在國內外醫學生物刊物上發表論文共52篇，其中在國際醫學生物刊物上署名發表的論著18篇，均被SCI收錄，被大量國際相關文獻引用。
