古老的大鐘
《古老的大鐘》英文名《My Grandfather's Clock》，作者是十九世紀美國的作曲家Henry Clay Work，這首歌是作者於1876年製作完成的，曾被很多人翻唱，如同很多經典歌曲一樣，經久不衰，反而愈久愈有味道。在亞洲，較為人們所熟悉的有日本歌手平井堅和中國歌手李聖傑的重新演繹。其中又有平井堅在2002年推出的同名EP專輯。另外在專輯《陶笛異想樂園》中，陶笛阿志也給我們帶來了另一種感受，在清新的鏇律中，緩緩開展出一個溫馨的故事，由陶笛這種性格質樸的樂器來詮釋，尤其貼切。
以下是平井堅的歌曲心語自述：“每當追朔起自己最喜歡的歌曲時，最後總是會想到這首《古老的大鐘》，即使在學校學到了那么多的童謠，但是這首歌卻讓我不知覺地就哼哼唱唱起來。直到現在自己成為了歌手依舊對這首歌的喜愛未減，而且反而越唱越喜歡，就是這么不可思議的一首歌。這首曲子透過我的聲音，跨越了不同的年齡層以及國界，如果能夠因此繼續地廣傳而唱，對於身為歌手的我來說真的是件令人非常喜悅的事！”
