內容提要
語言導論給本科生開設語言學課程不是件容易的事情。我們的學生在中學、大學十幾年的英語學習過程中，並沒有機會接觸語言學，他們對語言學的印象就是“那是講授枯燥的語法規則的課程”。很多學生抱著這種先人為主的偏見無可奈何地走進語言學課堂（因為在北外英語學院，這是英語專業的必修課），從一開始就將腦袋鎖起來，拒不接受任何信息。所以教師在課程之初需要花費很多心思，不動聲色地讓學生豎起耳朵、張開眼睛、開動大腦。只有在學生解除了戒備和抗拒之後，他才會願意接受課堂上老師傳授的知識，進而參與到互動活動中，通過自己的努力去感受語言學的魅力。
