羅伯特·富蘭克林·楊（Robert Franklin Young,1915-1985），20世紀美國科幻短篇小說家，主要作品有《The Last Yggdrasill》和《The Dandelion Girl》(蒲公英女孩)。他幾乎一生都生活在美國的紐約州，除了第二次世界大戰中在太平洋戰場的三年半服役外。他和妻子在伊利湖(Erie, Lake)一帶也有房產。
人物生平
羅伯特·F·楊的小說創作生涯長達三十多年，直到死神到來那一刻，他都沒有放下手中的筆，從1953年開始，他陸續在種類繁多的雜誌上發表了約一百篇短篇故事，起初在《Startling Stories》，然後是《PlayBoy》（花花公子），《The Saturday Evening Post》，但他最著名的是作為一位長期的投稿人，在雜誌《Magazing of Fiction》和《Science Fiction》上發表了當時最受讀者歡迎的一系列有關女巨人和她們不走運的男性迷戀者（giantesses and their hapless male devotees）的故事。楊的小說類型主要是以詩意而浪漫的短篇小說為主，但足以雷·布萊伯利以及 Theodore Sturgeon 相提並論。其中許多作品由法國的《Galaxie》,《Fiction》以及《livre de Poche》的科幻選集發行了法文版。在義大利，他的多數作品由 Urania 雜誌發行。
但無論是在美國，還是其他地區，楊還只能算小有名氣——幾乎在他逝世之前，科幻小說界才了解到他在水牛城（布法羅城 Buffalo system）的一所高中當了幾十年的看門人。

羅伯特·F·楊最著名的作品應該算是《The Last Yggdrasill》和《The Dandelion Girl》(蒲公英女孩)。前者於八十年代初發表在《Ballantine》，迪斯尼花了大錢買下了這部小說的改編權，但並沒有推出它的電影。而後者發表於《The Saturday Evening Post》1961年的四月，它深深地影響了日本動畫導演出淵裕的《翼神世音》、key社的《CLANNAD》以及楊後來的作品《Little Dog Gone》，不僅如此《The Dandelion Girl》還被提名為雨果獎最佳故事。
在《CLANNAD》中關於一之瀨琴美的故事中，《The Dandelion Girl》的女主人公朱莉（Julie）的一句話被多次強調：
蒲公英女孩的一句話Day before yesterday I saw a rabbit,
and yesterday a deer,
and today, you.
（前天我看見了一隻兔子，昨天看見了一隻鹿，而今天是你。）
