這部電影是英國約克郡電視台投拍的，女主角非常漂亮，雖然角色年齡跨度10年，但讓人覺得一點不需假，把少女的柔美和成熟女性的優雅都表現得淋漓盡致。
東方快車是一列非常有名的列車，從伊斯坦堡始發，最終到達巴黎，沿途美景無數，據說已在70年代停開，那么這部電影應該也是在70年代或者以前拍的。影片隨著列車的行進把觀眾帶進風景秀麗的法國南部，然後到達巴黎，在欣賞法國迷人風光的同時，故事一點點展開，其中有愛情的甜蜜，也有分手後刻骨銘心的愁苦，十年之後重逢的驚訝與矛盾，到最後有情人終成眷屬。雖然是一部愛情片，情節也有點簡單老套，但導演對鏡頭和故事講述方法的運用自如，演員的精湛演技再加上浪漫的法國使整部電影蒙上了夢幻般的色彩，在觀眾心頭揮之不去。
