簡介
1990年於中國科學院昆明植物研究所獲理學博士學位。現任中國植物學會植物分類與系統演化專業委員會副主任,中國科學院武漢植物園學術委員會主任,研究中心主任,系統與進化植物學研究組研究員,植物標本館館長,植物分類學報編輯委員會委員,武漢植物學研究編輯委員會副主編。“The International Association for Plant Taxonomy”和“The American Society of Plant Taxonomists”等國際學術組織會員。
科研項目
承擔和參與國家自然科學基金項目、國家973項目、中國科學院方向性項目等國家級項目5項。主持完成了獼猴桃屬的系統學研究,水杉的遺傳多樣性和保護策略以及瀕危物種中華水韭、巴東木蓮和小勾兒茶的細胞遺傳學研究等科研項目。此外,還承擔了中國植物志英文版獼猴桃科、蝶形花科豬屎豆屬,雲南植物志蝶形花科和湖北植物志蕨類植物門的編撰工作。在國內外重要學術期刊上發表論文60餘篇。有30多篇研究論文分別發表在國際(Systematic Botany,Molecular Ecology,Genetica, Botanical Journal of the Linnean Society, American Fern Journal)和國內(植物分類學報,雲南植物研究,生物多樣性)重要期刊上。
