創作背景
相傳,歌詞改編自六世達賴喇嘛倉央嘉措原作,白衣悠藍續寫的《十誡詩》,馮小剛力邀知名音樂人巒樹譜曲,演唱者則邀請到巒樹所在的六藝文化有限公司旗下歌手,有“搖滾女詩人”之稱的音樂人李漠。
巒樹在經過與馮小剛,王朔等電影主創人員反覆交流更改後,最終完成了這樣一首感人至深的歌曲。也為電影《非誠勿擾2》增添了又一抹亮色。

作曲簡介
巒樹曾擔任黑豹樂隊鍵盤手及主唱,後來轉向幕後工作。談及與馮小剛合作的感受,欒樹用京腔誇讚馮導:“純爺們,很睿智!他很注重電影的音樂,很明白自己的需求,是我很尊敬的一個大哥。”
馮小剛希望歌者的聲線比較中性化,提出的要求是:“得有經歷。”欒樹為此找到了有“搖滾女詩人”之稱的李漠。李漠對《最好不相見》的理解是:“它是一種很高的智慧,講的是冥冥之中終將散去。告訴我的是大愛,把內心割捨不下的東西都放下。”
