簡介
傑瑞十二歲開始學習演戲。他 1999 年贏得了 Claim to Fame Contest （是一個選秀的比賽，隸屬於 Teen Choice Awards ，所以他得到一個在 TCA 露臉的機會，也在這裡認識了他的經紀人，傑瑞出生在德州聖安東尼奧（San Antonio），James Madison 高中畢業。他曾經被提名，2000 年總統獎學金的侯選人，畢業之後，2000 年，移居加州洛杉磯，開始演員生涯。他在名為奇異果女孩（Gilmore Girls）的影集中飾演迪恩，展開拍片的工作。

生於 1982 年，他是劇組中最年輕的演員（指正規角色）是 2000 年的 Gilmore Girls ，比演主角的Alexis Bledel（Rory）還要小一歲。
他是 Gilmore Girls 劇組裡第二高的男演員（指正規角色）比 Edward Herrmann 矮兩英吋，比 Scott Patterson 高三英吋。
養有兩隻狗
他曾經在企畫階段，被考慮演出超人再起的 Superman / Clark Kent 一角。
最喜歡的樂團是 Our Lady Peace。
他比他的螢幕哥哥 Jensen Ackles 小四歲。
他和他的同學 Chris Cardeans 曾經一起搭擋贏得 National Forensics League national championship in Duo Interpretation。（一種全國的詩歌表演比賽）
2005 年，他與他的螢幕搭擋 Jensen Ackles 被時人雜誌票選為最性感的魔鬼剋星。
他與他的好朋友演員 Chad Michael Murray（他們是在 2000 年拍 Gilmore Girls 時認識的） ，一起演出重拍自 1953 年的電影恐怖蠟像館（2005 House of Wax）
好朋友還有，同樣來自德州聖安東尼奧的演員 Derek Lee Nixon 還有導演 Andrew Pozza。
他最好的朋友是 Jensen Ackles，2005 年超自然檔案，他的螢幕哥哥。
他是波蘭後裔。
在 Gilmore Girls 中演出他的情敵之一 Tristan （Tristan 剛好是 Jared 的中間名）的 Chad Michael Murray 最後變成了他的好朋友。（大概除了芭莉絲，每個人看來都會變成 Jared 的好朋友）

2005年出演CW電視劇《邪惡力量》，扮演弟弟SAM，即將進入法學研究院的大學生。
高中之後就退出了父親組織的“靈異捕獵”活動。
