We can see from the twenty fourth paragraph, the author would like to explain what you show off are running the risk and at last cite famous words to express her intention hat modesty should be a best way for praise. Now, look at the first sentence. There is a word “point” I don’t understand what the meaning of “point” is? In my view, after a few seconds considering, it refers to “nasty, needy, nice”, which is what showoffs show off. And the rest of sentence gives us an oral expression that “viewed as… well…showoff”. I am not able to understand why the author uses “well” in the formal writing even it possibly published.

In the last paragraph, the first two words are “and yes”, which appears many times in the passage. Is it her habits of writing in order to express certainty? By observing, it always presents the opening of some paragraphs. This “yes” undoubtedly answers the famous words. But to my surprise, why the author uses three “rights” here and meanwhile, “of course, must be” also use in the sentence? Perhaps, she would like to emphasize further, but is it necessary? The last problem puzzling me is that “for no matter what we do”? What’s the meaning of “for”. If it is thought as “because”, the first word in the next sentence is “so”, which violates the grammar; if it’s viewed as other meaning such as “as”, it seems improper.
