showing off 2.5

aston ten ten

I have already know the passage divides showoffs into four types: competitive showoffs, narcissistic showoffs, Insecure showoffs and exulting showoffs, the first six paragraphs give us some examples of showoffs ‘indeed everyone, I would like to propose, has some sort of need to show off, no one’s completely immune’ in paragraph 8 to paragraph23, the author describes the four types of showoffs in detail, and the last two paragraph get to the conclusion.

In paragraph 12 to paragraoh16, the author introduces the insecure showoffs in detail. At first, I couldn’t solve my problem completely, the vocabulary too few to understand the article was a problem for me, too. I have encounter for many words I have ever seen, however, I had already forgot it’s meanings for a long time. Such as fellow words: admiration, astonishment, awe. I am sure that the words were learned by myself many years ago and I couldn’t say out something now. Besides the vocabulary, the sentence was a problem for me, for example, what’s the meaning of fellow sentence ‘showoffs ask for cheers to which they’re not entitled’ what’s meaning of not entitled, in my world view, everybody has the power to doing everything and has the power to wining the praise. Teaches always ask questions when it is possible for you to answer, why, in order to improve you self-confidence slightly. Everyone has the power to ask for cheers even if showoffs.
