Prima J is an American pop musical duo from Rosemead, California that is composed of Mexican American cousins Janelle Martinez and Jessica Martinez. They made their debut in 2007 with the single "Rockstar" for the Bratz Motion Picture Soundtrack. They were discovered by former Wild Orchid member Stefanie Ridel.[1] They have recently completed the recording of their debut album, which will be released June 17, 2008. Prima J also makes a brief appearance in Bratz, auditioning for the school talent show, and three of the stars of Bratz, Logan Browning, Janel Parrish, and Nathalia Ramos, appear in the Rockstar music video. In the Bratz, they also sang the brief lyrics of "Take It To The Maximum" when Logan Browning had done her cheerleading, "It's My Party" lyrics when Logan Browning was doing the geeky girl lipgloss and gave the geeky girl her necklace in the chapter of the "operation mingle" that Nathalia Ramos had decided on at the lunch courtyard table, and "Kick It" during their audition for the school talent show.

Prima J 英文簡介
Prima J's pop smash "Rock Star" became a viral phenomenon and their debut album showcases their ability to seamlessly transition from their club hits to their empowering ballads. As Mexican-Americans, they hope to be role models to both American and Latin girls, as they consider themselves the face of the new Hispanic in America, part of an emerging generation that "speaks English and lives Latin." They affectionately refer to each other as "Chilosa": two sassy, classy, spicy and feisty girls. They may be the girls next door, but they are also fun and fearless with an independent spirit and deep sense of inner confidence.
